Breaking News: Shocking Bodycam Footage Captures Devastating Sandy Apartment Complex Fire

Sandy, UT – The Sandy City Fire Department has released bodycam footage of a recent apartment complex fire that left several families displaced. The fire broke out in the early morning hours of July 5th at the Alpine Meadows Apartments, located at 8455 S. 700 E.

The footage shows firefighters arriving on the scene and immediately beginning to battle the flames. The fire quickly spread through the building, causing extensive damage to several units. Fortunately, no one was injured in the blaze.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation, but officials believe it may have started in a second-floor unit. The Red Cross is assisting the families who were displaced by the fire.

Sandy City Fire Chief Bruce Cline said in a statement, “We are grateful that no one was hurt in this fire, but it serves as a reminder of the importance of having working smoke detectors in your home. We urge everyone to check their smoke detectors regularly and make sure they are in good working order.”

The Sandy City Fire Department is also reminding residents to have a fire escape plan in place and to practice it with their families. In the event of a fire, every second counts, and having a plan can help ensure everyone gets out safely.
