Meet Reed C. Amos, a powerhouse attorney with a diverse legal background and a heart for defending the underdog. Recently relocating to Salt Lake City, Utah, Reed is ready to bring his vast experience and exceptional skills to help clients in need.

For over a decade, Reed was a Partner at Amos & Amos, PLLC, in Virginia, where he excelled in criminal defense, family law, immigration, and commercial and residential real estate transactions. As a tenacious advocate, he has successfully represented clients in countless state criminal trials, hearings, and proceedings, tackling cases from first-degree murder to armed robbery and reckless driving. Reed has also made his mark in appellate criminal matters, arguing before the Court of Appeals of Virginia and the Virginia Supreme Court.

A proud alumnus of The Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law, Reed expanded his legal horizons by spending his third year as a visiting student at the prestigious Pepperdine University School of Law in Malibu, California. Upon graduation, he honed his skills at the renowned criminal defense law firm of Sherman & Sherman, PC, in Santa Monica, California, where he defended clients in complex federal and state criminal actions, hearings, and trials.

Reed’s expertise doesn’t end with criminal defense. Between 2007 and 2009, he worked for the entertainment law firm of Jacobson, Russell, Saltz, Nassim, De La Torre, LLP, in Los Angeles, California. There, he successfully represented individual and corporate clients in civil litigation matters involving contract disputes, employment issues, intellectual property rights, and entertainment law.

Outside of his civilian practice, Reed is also a dedicated military officer, serving as a Major in the U.S. Army Reserve, Judge Advocate General Corps, since 2011. Stationed at Fort Douglas in Salt Lake City, Reed has defended soldiers facing administrative actions, involuntary separations, and courts-martial, and has served as a Special Victims Counsel for victims of sexual assault. Currently, he serves as the Legal Advisor to the Defense Coordinating Element of FEMA Region VIII and provides legal assistance to soldiers prior to overseas deployments.
