Matthew ‘Cole’ Strickland, Attorney at Law
Matthew ‘Cole’ Strickland attended the University of Utah and graduated Cum Laude with Bachelor’s degrees in Political Science and Philosophy. Mr. Strickland then went on to earn his J.D. at the S.J. Quinney College of Law at the University of Utah. He has always had a passion for justice and defending the criminally accused from a powerful and often unfair system. So upon passing the Utah State Bar exam, he immediately began his career as a criminal defense attorney. Mr. Strickland has practiced as a private attorney as well as a Public Defender.
Throughout the course of his practice, he has earned a reputation as a tough trial attorney for never backing down from a challenge and his ability to prevail in difficult cases. Over the course of his career, he has handled hundreds of criminal cases involving sex crimes, drug distribution, violent crimes and DUI cases. To date, Mr. Strickland has taken approximately 30 cases to trial and has enjoyed success in obtaining not guilty verdicts in felony cases. Mr. Strickland takes pride in zealously advocating for his clients and defending them from a powerful government infringing upon their rights.
