Attorney Bio

Sean focuses his legal practice on criminal defense. Sean graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, with distinction in 2012 and from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, in 2017. He has been admitted to practice law in California since 2018 and was admitted to the Utah State Bar in May 2022.

Sean has substantial litigation experience, having appeared in court as the lead attorney to represent clients, argue motions, and conduct hundreds of trials and adjudications as a court-appointed attorney.

Prior to joining Wasatch Defense Lawyers, Sean worked as a court-appointed attorney in juvenile dependency litigation. as the lead attorney for hundreds of cases. In this position, he appeared in court almost daily as the lead attorney for various hearings and adjudications. Following law school, Sean completed a two-year fellowship with Lawyers for America at a California Bay area public defender’s office, where he worked on adult criminal and juvenile delinquency cases.

While earning his law degree at UC Hastings College of the Law, Sean was a law clerk at the San Francisco Public Defender’s Office and the Santa Barbara County Public Defender’s Office. During that time, he worked directly with clients and also wrote and argued motions in court. In addition, Sean second-chaired a felony trial that resulted in acquittal. He began his legal career in 2012 as a commercial litigation paralegal in San Francisco. As a paralegal, Sean assisted attorneys by conducting legal research, drafting and analyzing legal documents, and managing case files.
